Alert

The Observatoire de Paris (OBSPARIS) together with the University College of London (UCL), the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie (IRAP/CNRS), and the Space Research Center (PAS/SRC) will create an Alert service linked to the planetary meteor shower (still in development) and [planetary space weather predictions] (http://alerts-psws.irap.omp.eu/) based on the use of VOEvent (White et al., 2006). This service will be developed in order to facilitate discovery or make predictions within the PSWS user community, in order to watch or warn against specific events.

The ultimate objective is to set up dedicated observation campaigns, distribute contextual information for science data analysis, and enable safety operations of planet-orbiting spacecraft against the risks of impacts from meteors or solar wind disturbances.
